A calm, family-friendly game about looking after box turtles — feeding them, growing a sanctuary, going on gentle adventures, and earning collectibles along the way. It started as an offline browser game and is moving online so families can keep their progress across devices.
Yes. Cranky’s Game doesn’t run ads and doesn’t sell anything to play — it’s a family project, not a business.
Safety comes first in how this is built. Right now, during family beta, there’s no chat, no stranger contact, and no public profiles — each child’s sanctuary is private to your family. Social features are planned for later, and they’ll come with parental controls before anyone outside your family can reach your child.
No. You create one account as the parent, then add a sanctuary for each child from your dashboard. Your kids don’t need their own email address — you manage everything from your login.
Yes, once. Each offline save can be imported into your account exactly one time — your turtles, achievements, and collectibles come with you. Because it’s a one-time move, double check you’re signed into the right account before you import.
The online version is being designed to collect only what is needed to run a sanctuary profile, with no behavioral advertising. Parent-facing review and management controls are part of the family-beta build.
Not yet. We’re in family beta, which means new accounts need an invite code from an existing family. We’ll open things up more broadly once the early testing period wraps up.
Support options will be published before the family beta expands. For now, invited testers will receive support details directly.
Right now the focus is on getting accounts, imports, and cloud sanctuaries rock-solid. Mail, gifts, and light social features are planned for later, once the foundation is settled.
